Overview

Branding should be completed before launch so players see the correct server name, IP, Discord, store, and voting links in menus, books, scoreboards, and messages. Branding folder: plugins/RocketPlaceholders/placeholders/

Branding checklist

File: plugins/RocketPlaceholders/placeholders/brandings.ymlUpdate the following values to match your server:
  • server_name — Server display name (%rp_server_name%)
  • server_ip — Normal server address (%rp_server_ip%)
  • server_ip_small — Small-caps server address (%rp_server_ip_small%)
  • website — Website address (%rp_website%)
  • store / store_small — Normal and small-caps store addresses
  • store_url — Full store URL for book GUIs (%rp_store_url%)
  • vote — Main voting address (%rp_vote%)
  • discord — Discord address (%rp_discord%)
  • discord_url — Full Discord URL for book GUIs (%rp_discord_url%)
store_url and discord_url must start with https://; otherwise, links in the book GUI will not work correctly.
Replace example text and URLs in every player-facing book. Check that the rules match your moderation policy before making the server public.
Update the server-list MOTD, welcome and leave messages, death messages, animated tablist text, and scoreboard titles to use your name and colors.
Review donor and staff ranks, rank-shop prices, and permissions. Remove test permissions and make sure staff roles follow your team structure.
1

Back up configuration files

Make a copy of the original configuration before changing branding or prices.
2

Update brandings.yml

Replace the example server name, domains, and URLs in brandings.yml. Keep the small-caps values aligned with their normal versions.
3

Update votings.yml

Add the name and full https:// URL for each voting site you use. Remove or leave unused sites unlinked until they are ready.
4

Reload or restart

Use each plugin’s documented reload command where available, or restart the server to load all changes safely.
5

Test as a player

Check the server-list MOTD, join messages, menus, books, scoreboards, and all external links from a non-staff account.
Keep one authoritative list of your public links and colors. Using the same values across every configuration file prevents broken links and inconsistent branding.
